Arklatex Comic Con 2012!

The Second Annual Ark-La-Tex Comic Con will be held at the Truman Arnold Student Center at Texarkana College, Texarkana Texas.  The Con willbe held August 18th and 19th, 2012. A Charity Auction will be held to benefit the Texarkana Randy Sams Homeless Shelter. The con will feature an art contest, costume contests, Hero Clicks tournament, Magic the Gathering tournament, Dungeons & Dragons tournament, door prizes, comic books, anime, toys and on-site photography! Have your picture taken with Super Heroes! 
Admission: $5.00 Adults, children 13 and younger- free and free for those in full costume

We will be at there representing the Texarkana Renaissance Faire at booth A3. Come visit us and learn more about our wonderful Faire coming October 5th-7th. We will also be taking applications for vendors at cast members at this time.

Cast Members Wanted!

We are currently seeking unique and vibrant characters to roam the grounds of our faire: noblemen, gypsies, peasants, drunkards, beggars, wenches, pirates, jesters, bards,  fairies, trolls and any other creature of fantasy.


We do not assign roles so please invent your own unique character. You must have your own costuming and props. Experience helpful, but not required.

No "stunt" acts: fire breathing/spinning, acrobatics, swordplay and combat

16th-17th century characters only: no steampunk, Victorian, Colonial or futuristic characters


Tent camping is available for your convenience for $20 a night on the grounds.
Free food and drinks will be provided during the faire.

Drunkards Wanted!

We're looking for a few scruffy drunkards for the faire. Must be able to work all three days from open to close and have your own costumes and accessories. You'll need to know olden songs to sing horribly for TIPS (you keep all). If you're interested please contact us at texarkanarenfaire@gmail.com (many more characters available)
